Thanks Kath, sorry you missed it, would have been a nice surprise to see you
there. For what it's worth, they do this every year - Friday is the Ferrari
Challenge and lots of Ferrari only racing and track time. Pretty normal to
see "real" GTO's dicing in a pack. Hard not to think how darn priceless they
are when they some sliding by like that. Saturday they do a concours on the
lawn at the Breakers. It seems to get better every year from a content
standpoint. The combination of the weather and the long standing quality of the
event makes it hard to miss if you have a Ferrari so the cars that turn up are
spectacular. Finally on Sunday there's another concours that allows other
makes and models so that's a nice day as well. Anybody can go, it's a $50 ticket
for Sat at the Breakers but that's what these events cost now - I saw the
prices last year for the Monterey stuff and about fainted, rock concert prices,
made this one look cheap now that I think about it. Anyway it's worth a quick
trip out of the cold for. West Palm Beach airport has some great cheap fares
and there's lots of hotel deals if you look for them.
As for my lens, it's an 18-200 Nikon, nothing added. I also have a Tokina I
like for the wide angle stuff. It's probably the subjects - automotive
supermodels basically...

Damn, I can't believe it...we're in Palm Beach (well, Delray Beach, a
town or two south) now for a wedding....could have gone and didn't
even know...I can't believe it! Well we're going to take a drive up
this afternoon before we fly home, perhaps we'll catch a few
stragglers...
