[Ducati] 1098 (second look)

Just picked up Bike which has the feature article on the 1098. Even though I spent some time drooling over it, and sitting on it, at the motorcycle show, I couldn't help but spend some quiet moments with the photos. Ducati has released singular classics over the decades, the original 900 SS, the 750 GT, the mid 90s 900 SS, the 916 (I remember that Bike went crazy over this one "Italian for Sex" I believe was the title). When you first look at a bike, you know that it's the one. The 916 did that for me. The 999 never did that for me. The 1098 does it, immediately and repeatedly.
I can't justify spending the dosh for this one, but plan on being in the market in a few years for another classic to add to my small stable.
