[Ducati] swelled head

The tail is a sharkskinz piece, and unfortunately does not come off without
removing two fasteners on each side. I wonder, you guys (or gals) with a
proper era 900 with a factory mono rear-do they "pop" off? Cause there sure
is a bunch of space underneath. I have drilled titanium washers and tapered
allen head bolts for all the bodywork, so I keep a small allen wrench taped
up to a frame tune way up under the bodywork in case I have to get at the
battery or whatever while riding. Now with these good ole' reliable bikes we
should never have to do that, but you never know.......... now you got me
thinking, John. I have a Trans-Logic quickshifter on my Gix Six track bike,
which is just awesome. Makes you feel a little Motogp-ish. The processor box
would fit right under the Duc's tail section during the off-track day
season. I'll bet this 2 valver would sound bitchin' with throttle held open
upshifts!
