[Ducati] 749 sputters and coughs passing from 4500-6800

I was having a problem with my 748 this summer were it would 
occasionally lose all power, dropping to idle or dieing when I was 
accelerating through this range.  I checked everything mentioned (TPS 
adjustment, TB matching, fuel pump pressure, new fuel, plus some other 
things) and it seemed like running a little bit of injector cleaner 
through a tank of fuel completely cleared up the problem.  Of course my 
bike is a 1998, so it makes more sense that the injectors might be a 
bit dirty.
