[Ducati] 749 sputters and coughs passing from 4500-6800 rpm

The TPS is a voltage varying device. It has a supply voltage, generally .5 
to 1.0 volts,and reference return back to the ECU.As far as the plugs are 
concerned , I throw away the Champions and run NGK or ND u-tip or u-groove 
in just about everything I own that is gas powered. One thing you might try 
is to clean the plugs, let the bike warm up and go for a pass. When it 
starts to cough, stop and pull the plug that is easiest to get to and look 
to see if it's black and sooty or light and dry. At least you'll get an idea 
if it's fuel or ignition related. Let us know what you find
