This is being posted per Mike's request to forward to all the Ducati lists available. DOCC has backed out of their Grattan weekend. Mike has stepped up to keep it going.
I just hope you don't all receive too many copies of the posting from Mike.

What: Ducati Grattan Weekend
When: August 4-5, 2007
Where: Grattan Raceway. Grattan, Michigan
Cost: $150 one day, $280 both days.
Cost will fall as we get above the 50 minimum riders.
Ladies and Gentleman,
I am please to announce that the first weekend in August (previously used by DOCC for many years) is now Ducati Grattan Weekend at Grattan Raceway, Grattan, Michigan http://www.grattanraceway.com/
I am sending out this notice to get a preliminary head-count and feel for how many of you can/will attend the longest running Ducati Weekend in the USA. Therefore, I need you to respond to this email and tell me how many of you are would attend Ducati Grattan Weekend.
Bike types: Because it is a Ducati event, Ducati motorcycles will be given first preference in registration, once a cut-off date is established (probably June 1, 2007), then I will consider other makes of motorcycles.
Classes: Three (3). Touring, Sport Touring and Hot Shoe. Newbies will be handled on a one-on-one basis by experienced track riders that have volunteered their services. The intention is to allow you to ride as often as you wish, when you wish. The operative word here is YOU. The goal is 100--120 riders for three classes (30--40 per class/session) , so there will be an abundance to track time for all. Once we reach 120 riders, registration will be closed.
This track event will be a very simple straight-forward event and I will do everything in my power to keep it simple, reduce hassles and frustrations that have caused many of us grief and the demise of this weekend event under DOCC. Therefore, my guiding light will be K.I.S.S. and my goal is to get you out on the track and put a smile on your face. Many of you know Grattan, so this will not be a new venture for you, but it will be MUCH less hassle and MUCH more fun than you have seen in years. It is my intention to have this event like DOCC was back in the mid-1990's.
Please pass this notice along to all Ducati email lists and Ducati forums you might be on so that the word gets out and this great weekend lives on.
Please feel free to email or call me with your questions, comments and concerns.
