[Ducati] 1098 Price & Margins

I went to the dealer on Saturday. They had their demo 1098 S set up inside on a stand and at least you could sit on it to get an impression of how it feels.(and make noises with your mouth)  Everyone must have seen photos but the bike really does look better in the flesh. Whoever did the design work knew their stuff. The only thing I am unsure of is the all-digital display. It seems as though you can get a glance at a dial tach and speedo more quickly than a bar graph and a number. I donno.
   
  Their allotment for '07 is two tri-colours: sold. Three S's which includes the demo: all have deposits on them. And some number of the base models, 3/4 of which have deposits. Sales said they wish they could get more but as far as they know that's it until '08.
