[Ducati] 748SPS Fuel Pump Question

The fuel pump on my SP runs continuously, regardless of engine condition. When the switch is first activated you can tell that it's not pushing against pressure, but within a couple of seconds it's pretty obvious that it's built pressure and is pushing against the needle valves. It never turns off until the switch is turned off.

Hope this helps,

Burner of much fuel (and way too many tires)

Are there any models that the fuel pump continually runs on when the engine
is not running "sounds almost like it is circulating back to the tank" or
should they all reach pressure and shut down until the pressure drops again.
