Boy...that didn't take long, did it?
Reminds me of one of my experiences during the last DFS event at Hiawassee, GA. I was leading a small group over the Cherohala Skyway, and in this group was a gentleman on a 1 week old Monster S4R. Our group was traveling at an illegal, but not unreasonable, pace when the S4R got loose and struck an Armco barrier. Needless to say, S4Rs don't look as good in multiple pieces, with the forks divorced from the frame...etc. The air-evac to Knoxville was a bit upsetting, too, but everything turned out OK...except for his long ride back to Florida wincing at every bump in the road.
Just goes to show you that no matter how much you love your machinery nor how careful you are with it, you can still get bitten.
Be careful out there.

Too dang fast to lead rides? (I had three people crash behind me last year...that sucks...I'm starting to get a complex)
