I went the new bike route each time I moved my son up the ladder. The bikes
don't get ridden TOO much during the relatively short amount of time that we
owned them, so we get a decent dollar for them when we sell them. Plus, we
have not inherited anyone else's problems buying a used dirt bike. And it's
always exciting picking up a new bike. Sometimes, you never sell them when
you're done with them- kept the TTR-90 as a pit bike. I won't be keeping the
replacement bike for that one as a future pit bike. It's a nasty, evil
YZ250. Quite a jump from the TTR, but you know how these kids grow! He's
going to be giving me a lot of trouble with this one against my CRF 250X as
soon as he gets his sea legs.
