Golleee!  If I was making $20.00 an hour at the age of 18 or 20 these days
I'd be a happy dude.  That's 40K a year or thereabouts.

That's plenty of money to find a roommate and/or significant other and work
it out.  Even in SF.  You're young.  Holy Cow!!   Whatever happened to
struggling a bit? 

Forty years ago (ok,ok) I didn't expect anything from anyone.  Got jobs and
got by.  Then found what would get me going.  Turned out to be computers,
programming, actuarial work and then, lo and behold, brewing beer for a
living, almost twenty years ago.

No one is DUE a job or a wage.
