This time around I will buy a buckle!!!
The 90's SS's generally are considered comfy in the handlebar position, much
more so than the later SS's.
Its possible that your friend had his clip-ons dropped down a bit on the
forks. That would contribute to possible discom Maybe.
On my 93, things are kind of tight behind the windscreen for any additional
height without getting into customizing the plastic. I fitted some CycleCat
risers and bars and there was much swiveling and adjusting and fitting to be
done, and these were stock height, albeit much prettier to look at. Remote
reservoirs for brake and clutch would have made it a little easier overall.
That also means I'll have to bleed the front brakes.....Oh joy.
