[Ducati] care of leathers

The biggest enemy of leather is sweat. The salt and other nasty stuff
leaving your body is hard on leather, particularly the stitching. I have my
racing leathers cleaned each off-season by the guy who made them -- Barnacle
Bill (www.racingleather.com). He soaks them in a vat of cleaning solution,
dries them slowly over several days, then treats them. He also can clean up
scuffs and rash, as well as do alterations, etc. I'm sure many of the other
custom racing leather places do the same thing, but Bill is the only one I
have experience with.
