Alec,
actually I was more than a little bit tongue in cheek and having a bit of
fun with the topic. I am of the philosophy mostly that if it works really
well, looks are not so important. So when I went to World Prez meeting in
06, while many requested 999 or Monster or whatever, I asked for a ST2,
figuring it was a good workhorse (it was, and I put on more Km than anyone
else).
Beauty ain't the first thing I think of with either the Multi or the HMS,
tho I gotta admit mine in black looks better than the red. Furthermore,
after I put that high Greeve front fender on, it will look really retro and
ugly...... But then when I want beauty, my 81 MHR still gets me, just as
the 66 250 Scrambler does, or so does the Darmah SSD that is about to be
finalized. Heck, even the 68 Guzzi V7 has its own style or more unique is
the Griumph. The monster S4 doesn't look so good, but that was a deer
modification problem.
Anyway, since I have a couple of PT's bikes, I won't complain about the guy,
and my son has the 916, so we got the best of it all.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!
Peter
