Ouch Alec,

I still have one of my Multistradas, out in SF for me to ride with Kevin,
and then after wadding the second one, what do I buy, an ugly nosed
Hypermotard. Dang, I must be messed up. Of course, the Multistrada doesn't
look ugly when you are sitiing on it, and I rolled up nearly 50,000 miles on
the first one. As for the Hypermotard, it just arrived at the dealer two
days ago, one of the first of the Black coloured S models, but we are
waiting for the camshaft to come in, so it just sits and waits. Not all bad
though, I still need some strengthening on my left side, so just as well. I
do agree about the nose comment though, and haven't decided just what to do
with it, so at least for awhile, will probably leave it. Of course being a
really ancient geezer, I thought of a high aluminum front fender mounted at
bottom of the triple clamp with a tube support running fore and aft like on
my 1964 Greeves Challenger. That could get really ugly though.........
However the handguard/mirror things are brand new in a box at the house and
will not even go on the bike. Already got a CRG mirror, plus black shorty
CRG levers (instead of silver levers on the otherwise very black looking
bike) amd some black bodied LED turn lights for the front. These will all
get installed in January when hopefully the cam comes in. Even putting
Martin Brickwood collets in right away. So from the day I take it home, it
will look different, and with the cam, two in one exhaust, it will sound
different too. The racing slipper clutch will help too plus leave a stock
clutch that I need for my Monster S4. But the killer reason why I like this
bike is that it is light, supposed 375 lb dry with the changed stuff. Ok,
not in a league with the 300lb NCR version, but a bit cheaper. Oughta be a
whole lotta fun though. And I hope that light weight will help an old man
out when the going gets ugly. So from me, thanks to PT.

Peter

Again the HyperMotard has no competition
