Bummer you won't make it Kevin,

not sure I will either as it may turn out that work will require my presence
in Singapore, although perhaps I could just make it in, altho probably
won't. However if you are timing things right, I may be able to show you
that special Texas road that I know you want to try out. After all, a spleen
removal is kind of like replacing a heavier part with the same thing in
carbon fibre, but better, because it (spleen removal) means you get that
weight saving on every bike you ride!

Peter

> Alas, I don't expect to make the Motogiro America, as I will still be on
Motogiro grande Stati Uniti d'America . This will be my second attempt, and
I will be more prepared (hopefully). My plans are still to ride the SP from
Oakland to Monterey, by way of Washington, Illinois, Connecticut, Virginia,
Texas, and many of the states in between, leaving on or about June 15, and
arriving at Monterey on or about July 17. I'm pretty confident that I won't
push the timetable to get there a week early (don't want to miss the Texas
hill country,...uh,...wait,...there is that gravel on the crest of the curve
past the cattle guard problem,...ah, what the heck, don't use the spleen
that much anyway).
> In addition to visiting fellow ducatista, taking lots of pictures of the
bike in various places, and looking for the off the road local diners and
coffee shops, I'm trying to come up with other ideas to have themes or
threads for connecting the dots. One idea is to try to get every race tack I
get within a hundred or so miles of to let me take one lap on the track.
