[Ducati] 848 watercooled Duc vs aircooled Duc...

With tightening noise and air pollution standards, air cooled engines are becoming harder and harder to make to meet these standards. Noise just isn't the exhaust sound. Fins become sound propagaters too. A water jacket will hid a lot of this extraneous sound/noise.
   
  Air polution is critical and is controlled by engine temps. The wide range of temps that an air cooled engine sees is harder to make meet standards where as a water cooled engine will produce a narrower range of temps that will be easier to meet polution standards. 
   
  With Europe having their own standards, the US standards, and the Republika of Kalifornia having their own standards, controlling engine temps will more critical.
   
  So as someone stated, the 848 may be the next poor mans' Super Sport (hmmm...I resemble that remark!)
