[Ducati] My thoughts on the new Ducati 848

Hi everybody,
I've been reading the responses to the 848. FWIW, to me the bike seems right up my alley. I love my 748, but allways wished it had about another 30-40hp. In the 748/speed triple debate about  a month ago someone labeled the 748 slow. To me the peak h.p. hardley matters on the street, it's just that it can be more fun. My buddies have a 'Busa and zx12, they love to go fast in a straight line. I just hold back and lose them on the twisties. I try to be responsible most of the time, but have been known to turn it up a notch on a curvy road. I just tell them anyone can twist the throttle.

Now the question is do I spend a small fortune trying to lighten the 748, or do I wait a year for someone to add the termi's and other bits to an 848, and decide after 700 miles it's uncomfortable.Trade the old girl in...and hello 848! I think I allready know the answer.
