Perhaps I missed this if it has been talked about here on the List.
But, did anybody see this brief article in the most recent Roadracing
World magazine?

 

"DUCATI GETS ITS 1200cc WISH"

"The FIM and FGSport have agreed on new rules to allow 1200cc Twins to
race against 1000cc Fours in next year's Superbike World Championship.
Did the MSMA (the manufacturers association composed primarily of
Japanese factories) agree to these rules?  An official present at the
MSMA meeting in Mugello, speaking under condition of anonymity, said
"The Japanese just said to the FIM, 'Do whatever you want.  We are not
involved in World Superbike anymore'".
