[Ducati] fix or part out '93 900ss

I lost my oil drain plug out in the candian boonies and ran my bike out of
oil. I pushed it for a couple of klicks after it quit running. There was no
smoke coming out of it and the starter seems to turn over the engine. I was
the last one to work on the bike so it is my fault.

Besides the engine, it is decent shape but not pristine by any means. The
body work is in decent shape, it has a Staintune header and pipes but one
of the pipes has a scrape on the underside (it came that way), ohlins shock,
woodcraft rearsets, updated brakes, re-worked forks, and other things. The
mileage on the bike is just under 20,000 miles.

So do I part it out or try and get the engine fixed? Upgrade it while it is
apart or find a used engine? I have seen them go for ~$900 to $1200. One
thing that I might mention is that I live in a highrise in Vancouver and
don't have access to a garage or anything. I do have most of my tools but
somehow forgot how to use a torque wrench correctly. : (

I don't have a problem taking it somewhere in the Northwestern States to get
fixed and think all the dealers in Vancouver are morons. Any advice is
welcome. Please refrain from too many smart asssed comments. I'm in enough
pain as it is. I've had this bike since 1995 and it had ~200 miles on it
when I bought it.

_Kris
