Brad for many of the first years of the 916, I think about the first 5 years the small nut that holds on the front cyclinder plastic back cover for the cam belts took out several belts and top ends, at a  time in the mid to late 90s this was something a number of folks were familiar with happening but only those who had it happen to them or mechanics who did alot of work, like Bruce or Eraldo or maybe Nash. It did happen and it happened enough that smart mechanics always checked that nut on the lower stud that holds that back cover on. If it never happend to any of your customers and you never heard of it, good for you.
