antonio - NEVER try to balance carbs on old euro bikes
by fast idling then pulling a plug cap off one
cylinder unless it has points. i have replaced stacks
of cdi units on bmw - krauser bmw - ducati bevels with
stator plate ignition + all sorts of trail bikes
because the bottom unit keeps generating & building up
voltage that cannot get out to earth via the plug.
they either burn out the generating coil or a section
of the box. no real problem with later stuff which are
basically battery tansistor ignition.
even some of the 80s hondas can do it - the old XL185s
would do it if a plug died & you tried to start it by
clutching down a long hill.ditto with euro bikes with
SEM/BOSCH cdi.
