[Ducati] Static Carb Sync?

Keihin FCR's are syncronized statically. To my knowledge is no other way to
do it, as adj. screw is not accesible while engine is running. With std
Mikuni's, or any other Variable Venturi carbs I would strongly recommend to
sync with vacuum gauges.

As an alternative you can try the following procedure:
1. warm up the engine
2. Speed up idle speed (exemple: 1.600rpm) (exact value to be confirmed by
trial)
3. Disconnect spark plug on one cylinder and record idle speed
4. Disconnect spark plug on the other cyl and adjust sync screw to get the
same idle speed recorded in (3)

This method was used in the 80' to sync BMW twins.
I never tried in my Duc to date, which is equipped with FCR's. On top of
that with a ligth flywheel and clutch it may be difficult to get idle stable
enough to get an accurate reading on one cylinder. If you try this method
please let us know the result.
Best Regards/ Antonio
