Alex,
No where did I see that either DNA nor mother Ducati say that the dealer should shirk all responsibility to ensure the bike is properly configured when it is delivered to the customer. That should include some test riding and adjustments.
Will some bikes require extra attention at that first service? The day that any of these manufacturers: BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lotus, Maybach, Bently, John Deere, Mack, Aprilla, or Ducati announce that their vehicles of all kinds will not ever need anything more than the minimum required maintenance at the first interval will occur some time after I have long left this world and will be accompanied by a freezing over in the place I will likely be assigned.
The article did have one dealer specifically state that adjustments beyond the basics would be covered under warranty.
