This is a fantastic event, to be in the stands with the cards held up. It is
shown on Italian tv of course, but not on japanese supported speedchanel.
Also, this was a very exciting race last year, with Rossi doing several
"Dangerous passes" on Capirex to eventually prevail. Of course when Elias
does it to Rossi, things are different. Still, I must admit, Rossi is my
favourite rider and one of the best of all time, but if Capirex who waxes
mellow at saying he could be the father to Stoner and Elias who finished
before him, I get the feeling that Capirex will stop at nothing to provide
Stoner with everything he needs to become the best possible rider that can
happen. That could well lead to Ducati's first ever world top level
championship. Thank heavens the two stroke era ended from that point of
view.

As a marked contrast, altho the top 6 riders all wore Bridgestone, and as my
friend Phil notes, the Bridgestones are notoriously good at the front. John
Hopkins has no senior advisor, and lost the bike in the previous race, but a
little wiser, at least finished well in Turkey. Its not just tyres and
bikes, it is also the chance for the young to learn from the (career
speaking) old. Stoner has, Hopkins doesn't, and the difference shows. Now if
old Phil had just taken young Stoner in hand some years before

I just posted the information on buying tickets in the Ducati owners
grandstands at Mugello. That's the one where all 3000 people wave cards at
the
start to spell Ducati. If you haven't seen it (it's not usually on the TV
but it
is in the MotoGP.com coverage) I have posted a photo of it in the Blog as
well.
_www.ducati.net_ (http://www.ducati.net) - the link is on the right side
of
the page in "Vicki's Blog".
