With Ducati looking to the FIM for engine capacity increase for the 08 season (hopefully AMA will follow suit) to help to reduce their racing budget on the bikes with special tooling for the engines. The threat that the FIM may or may not agree to the conditions and Ducati's threat to pull from the racing series for 08 season is something I hope Ducati will think twice about. I know Ducati wants to continue development with the twin and not move towards the V4. If the FIM says no to the bigger displacement, since racing is imbedded into the company's bloodstream, I say pull your ACE CARD and call the FIM's bluff and race the V4 (Desmocedici). They have already sold enough units to race it in WSBK and AMA. The bike has already proven its self at the highest level of racing. Why not race it and continue the strong racing history that has made Ducati the brand that it is today. Ducati can continue to build and develop the V-twin, while the V4 puts in the racing time and wins races and Championships ALL OVER THE WORLD. Imagine Ducati winning every major championship in the world in the same year. I mean total domination. The FIM will rethink what they have done and allow the V-twin the increase because the manufacturers will cry foul. But its all perfectly legal. We will continue to buy Ducati's and those who can afford it can buy the V4 machines. I say take it to them and lets go race. I want to go to the races again here in America (AMA). I have no desire to watch Suzuki fest AMA another year. I have decided not to attend any AMA races while Ducati is out. I would like to see more of the European races in Europe if I could get Speed TV to show more of it and less NASCAR. Can we please have a Speed TV 2 (like MTV2) that is two wheel only with racing from all around the world and programs just for the two wheels? Anybody know how I can get European racing through Dish network (BBS). I have done the computer thing last year and I can't watch it on my 50" television, just on the computer. Duacti please here the little people who support the company by purchasing your product, lets GO RACE and lets bring the thunder and lighting back to the tracks of America and across the world for 2008 season. I am tired of the wine from the in-line fours.
