Why? They'll have had a full season of fun on their new bikes - hardly
something to feel sorry for.
My own view is that the 1098 will be such a good machine that the "1198"
could hardly be very much better - not enough for 99% of us to feel on the
street, anyway. It drives me crazy when manufacturers (and their
brownnosing American magazine toadies) talk about how much better this
year's 600RR/R1/GSX-R whatever is, than last year's. 10 more bhp, 5 lbs.
lighter - who the Hell even notices this on the street? It's all marketing
hype designed to make those who own the current model feel bad (and run out
to get the newest and greatest) and those who bought the new one feel
superior and justified.
My advice, ride what you like. If you bought a 1098 - good for you! Just
don't let the marketing men tell you what you like - judge for yourself.
Cheers
Dallas
