Yeah tank drain, some autoparts stores might sell replacement sealing washers, aluminum should work as well as copper. Sometimes you can just clean them up a bit or flip over and they are fine, unless messed with should not leak...if it has noticeable ridges in it dress on some 600 grit with your finger to smooth and reuse.

Often times, you can anneal copper washers to make them good as new.
Remove and clean to remove gasoline residue, then hit it with a propane
torch to turn the copper
cherry red, then drop in a cup of water, it will soften the copper back up
and let is conform and seal.

My 2000 996 developed a fuel leak. I traced the leak to a screw with a
copper washer located at the rear bottom of the tank. It appears to be some
sort of drain screw. Is this common? Do I just replace the screw and washer?
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?
