Just replace the washer. Should be ally or copper.

Subject: [Ducati] 996 fuel leak
My 2000 996 developed a fuel leak. I traced the leak to a screw with a
copper washer located at the rear bottom of the tank. It appears to be some
sort of drain screw. Is this common? Do I just replace the screw and washer?
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it?
