[Ducati] Do I need to get a 3-angle cut on my valves?

I am restoring a 650 engine to go in my 1981 Pantah. I am rebuilding  
the entire engine, and this is my first one, so I want to do it  
right. Is it necessary to get a 3-angle valve job on the heads? Or  
can I just lap them and call it a day? Will I notice that much of a  
difference either way?
