[Ducati] Thoughts on value - 88 Paso

Ahhh, the 750 Paso..
this is not a loved bike. it has the old style Pantah engine, albeit
with an updated electrical and ignition system that is actually very
nice. its Admiral Akbar looks are set off by a great riding position
and decent performance, which can be somewhat enhanced by upgrading
the carbs from the stock weber to FCRs or Dellortors.
problems are that the tires are 16 inch (not many choices) and
oddball components abound. the rear and front shocks are easily
rebuilt, and the brembo brakes are still supported, but you can't get
rotors except rarely. The engine is the old style, shares more with
the Pantah than the later SS desmodue. Parts are hard to find.
I've seen plenty of Paso 750s get listed for 3500+ and they don't
sell. Once they get around 2500-3000 they tend to move, depending on
condition.
They are unloved, and a shame, Renzo Pasolini was such a nice guy.
