[Ducati] ST4/4s flaky rockers, how common?

Come now! I have ridden my 94cr all over the country and enjoy the heck out 
of long rides on the little critter. 6'1" 203lbs and no issues with it. 
Went to Ohio from Colorado and back last month - FUN FUN!! (just be amazed 
at the wear pattern on a Pilot Power though!!). A tempted to try it on my 
90 851 now...........
