[Ducati] Oil filter leak

Did you scratch the surface around the filter area?  The aluminum can  
get some imperfections... if deep enough it'll leak... but unlikely.

Are you sure it's coming from the filter area?  perhaps the case is  
leaking in that area.  Have you recently replace the engine bolts.  I  
bought a set of stainless bolt for my bike and one at a time I  
replaced them torquing them to specs and making sure they all had  
some antiseeze on them.
