[Ducati] the Wave

We all know Duc's draw attention, so if you can find a way to be on the cops team, do it. One time he pulled up next to me at a light and we had some time. So we talked about the weather. He was a CHP with the new BMW's. So we talked. It kind of removed that weird "CHP-citizen" relationship and put us both on the motorcycle enthusiast level. Wave as much as you can. What's it gonna hurt?

I too wave at everyone. I just read somewhere (probably from this list),
that "if they don't wave back, it's okay - I was waving at the bike anyway!"

I have even started waving at the moto-police officers. I get about a 50%
wave response from them.

At least he waved and we all waved back.

I wave no matter what (unless I don't feel comfortable taking my hand off
the bar) Waving is a courtesy we extend to each other as if to say, 'hey
fellow biker brother/ sister, nice to see you out on two wheels, be safe.'
Its not a, 'I waved at you now you have to wave back at me', contest I used
to take it personal when I didn't get a wave back, now I don't care.
Its either their anal retentive problem, or they just cant take their hand
off the bars. Maybe they just didn't see me. I like to think that they are
just afraid that if they remove a hand from the bar, the bike will fly
wildly out of control and lead to their 2 wheeled demise. It just doesn't
matter. Perhaps if enough bikers wave at them they will lighten up and wave
back.
