Hi there,
Just joined and asking questions already!! I have just bought a '95 916
which now turns out to be a 916SP as it has twin injectors and expensive
sparkplugs? so the mechanic told when i left it in for exploratory service,
apparently it needs new a throttle sensor? i have been told as it is not
setting correctly for idle etc that it will need replaced. Does anyone know
how much these things are, if they are
repairable, will regular 916 throttle sensor do or will it have to be a SP
one?

I am also unsure of the bikes SP pedigree, i only paid bp money as when i
checked the VIN i was told it would say SP in chassis no which it doesnt,
however the mechanic has seen plenty of them and assures me it is an early
SP engine wise, which was backed by previous owner, the service book said
SP, clock is in Km, Carbon mudguard(no proof i know) and the engine and
chassis numbers match. any way of finding for sure or do i have to write to
Ducati??

Any answers much appreciated. And if i bought the bike off you, sorry, you
may have been right!!
Laz
