[Ducati] 749 reliability

I was thinking of buying an 04 or 05 749 or 749s.  How is the reliabiliy of these bikes.  I've read a lot online about oil and coolant leaks and electrical problems.  I currently have a bike that keeps having oil leaks and it is driving me crazy.  I would prefer a Duc over a Japanese supersport, but I don't want a bike that's going to be in the shop all of the time and costing me money.
