  Back in the '60's, used to hang with motorheads working on some great Detroit musclecars.  My cousin had a few (67 GTX and a 66 GTO) . The 'goat' had a 400, 3 BBL, Crane cam, Hookers and Hurst 4sp with electric locks on the front brakes.  Was good for 11.32 at the strip in Colechester  Still has the slip.  A real sleeper with stock rims and fat Mickey Thompsons.  The only giveaway was the headers if one looked under the front.  Totally docile, but with a real punch.  I drooled over that car but was too young at the time to drive it.  Some 'kids' at work have the new GTO.  Not even close......(-:
