Or you could find a set of stockers from a 900SS ('93-'98 would work nicely) and install those.  They look just like the 888 stock clipons yet are approximately five centimeters longer.  They also show up on ebay sporadically.

The standard solution, "back in the day" for this bike (I have installed it on 
my 888) is a set of "Storz" risers. They are no longer  manufactured. Look for 
them on ebay. They are rare anymore and hard to find but they are out there and 
do show up on ebay. I have seen them about three times in the last year. Fit 
perfectly, rise is 1 inch and it takes the kink out of you neck when riding.

Looking to tweak the Ergos on my new (to me) 888. It looks like neither 
Cycle-Cat or Helibars make any. Not alot of room between fairing and tank 
to make big adjustments, but just a little wider/ more forward or higher 
would be nice. I'm tall so stretch to the bars is not an issue. Does 
anyonw know of any good solutions?
