[Ducati] Throttle body synching

Garth,
The point of an off-idle sync is to load the throttle cable(s). So
pick any RPM you like, as long as the throttle body stops are no
longer in play. I like 4K as that's where I generally ride when not
riding agressively - somewhere near the bottom of your powerband is a
good place.

The cables should have individual adjusters; probably right where
they attach to the bodies. The cables should have slack at idle. Set
the idle speed and balance the bodies. You may need to go back and
forth a few times until everything is where you want it.

Now use the throttle to increase the rpm, bringing the bodies off
their stops so the cables are controlling everything. I use a large
o-ring between the throttle grip and the kill switch housing as a
"cruise control" so I don't have to hold the throttle with one hand
while I try to make adjustments with the other.

The balance should remain the same. If not, then the cables need to
be adjusted to keep the bodies in balance. If you make any cable
adjustments, be sure you maintain slack at idle, otherwise you'll
mess up your idle balance. Re-check both conditions when done.

This is the stuff that keeps your bike running perfectly. :)

Best,
John
