Ditto that.  I think Mike Major's reply was a little on the harsh side,
frankly.  If non-competitive closed circuit events are covered, then they're
covered whether Mike likes it or not.  Having said that, though, his point
about your putting an at-fault accident on your record will almost certainly
mean at least 3 years of increased premiums.  In the long run, especially
with a minor get-off like  yours, it'd probably be more cost-effective to
just fix it and not bother the insurance company.

If you *do* file a claim, and it's covered, definitely make sure you get to
keep the crashed plastics even if you have to buy them back from Geico.
Then put them on the next time you go to the track so you don't have to
worry about it anymore.  Spare levers and such are relatively cheap to keep
on hand -- it's the plastics that are the most expensive to fix/replace and
paint.
