afaik, the only euro production spec base model 851/888 to have an ohlins rear shock was the '91.  we didn't get spo out here, as we got sp5 instead, so i have no real kowledge of them.  i've never seen an 888 strada with a std ohlins.

if it's an sp3 it should have ohlins forks, plaque on the steering head, 50mm od exhaust and upswept alloy mufflers, single seat with white number plates, cast iron floating discs, that's all i can think of that's extenally obvious.  internally it'll have longer duration cams and domed pistons with bigger valve reliefs.
