LAST OF THE GOD CONTENT
Wow, what did I stir up (me the straw)? I feel good and bad; good that my comments earn so much attention, mostly positive; and bad that I have helped pull us so far away from Ducati matters.
A few of you have written me off line. I hope to get to that mail tonight. There were other comments about excitement and speech, and the quality of education and the sources of its problems; all pretty much valid and good to consider (I work in education, so know a little about it).
I'll say no more about that thread.
DUCATI CONTENT
I found a shop to bend the rod that connects the bracket to the engine casing. It has a nice little dog-leg in it now, although it's a little scuffed up from the procedure (it was already getting beat up by hitting the exhaust pipe, so no big deal). I'll find out in a couple of hours if we got it right.
How exact does the length of that rod need to be? I measured it before bending and can set the joint thingies at the ends to pretty much match that length, so I'm not worried, but maybe I should be.
