First disconnect the connector from the starter relay itself.  Connect the positive terminal of the relay to 12 volt terminal on the battery and the  negative terminal to ground with separate wires.  Try using small aligator clips on the ends of the wires to make your connections.  The bike should turn over if the relay is working properly.

How do you know if it is the relay, because I pulled the yellow one out and looked at it, is there a way to test it.
