You're right, the racing has been great this season, with many riders on the
podium.  But I felt that, with a 51 point lead after Laguna Seca Hayden was
really in control, barring problems with the bike or Pedrosa.  In the four
races following Laguna, Hayden finished 9th, 4th, 5th, 5th.  Hardly
championship riding with the season coming to a head and Rossi charging.

Perhaps it really is Honda's problem as has been discussed recently, but
Pedrosa finished 3rd, 3rd, out with injury, and 7th in those races.

I do feel for Nicky, having his season go south when he is so close.  With
another year under his belt, he'll be fun to watch next year.
