I'm an unabashed Rossi fan and have been rooting for him all season, but it
is truly a shame that Hayden now has almost no chance at the championship
after racing so consistently and well.

However, in my mind Hayden should have already wrapped up the championship,
but because he was not very aggressive following his win at Laguna Seca, he
almost found himself in a must-podium position for the last few races.

If there had not been a tire change for the rain (in Japan?), he might have
lost more points in that race than he did.  I think he was running in 8th
when Rossi was going for the lead, but came out of the pits in front of
Rossi.  It was early in the race, so who knows?

So now Hayden and Rossi each have a DNF.  Does Rossi have two?  I can't
remember.  Valencia should be fascinating.
