When you hear the fuel pump turn on, do you also hear it turn off? If not, if it runs continuously, it is one of the two relays under the seat.

Hi

I have just finished racing season with my Duc which I enjoy very
much. At the last session I started to having a problem with starting
the bike with the right hand push button. I ended up getting some
friends to push start me.

This happened just one time before a couple of months ago, and when I
mentioned it in servicing there was no problem of it starting at that
time. I noticed after 2 practice sessions at the track, then the bike
started as per normal the rest of the day. But as soon as I tried it
at home it wouldn't start again. I have read your FAQ's and I
understand the side stand could be a problem but this was
disconnected over a year ago by the person I bought it from. The fuel
pump does kick in as soon as the ignition is turned on, but there is
nothing when you press the switch. Could the Switch be the problem
and if it is, how do I know that it is bad? I also hear a click when
the ignition is turned on which I understand as being the relay. Any
info would be appreciated.
