[Ducati] Best method/equip for your Duc from being stolen is...?

I am reading the story about the stole Duc and thought why not ask  
the best method from keeping it stolen. And just as important,  
recommendations of equipment  such as type of chains (material,  
brand, etc), alarm systems (two way, 130DBi, etc), loJack system,  
covers, etc... I am interested as I am looking at doing some road  
trips now that fall is here and nothing would be worse then losing  
the bike, while out of town.
