You know, finding a stationary object that is cemented into the ground
might help somewhat. Like a bicycle rack, light pole, sign, fence, etc.....
just make sure you use hard to cut cable and try to attach it to the frame,
not a wheel.
Of course finding such a place is difficult and if a thief decides to try
and lift it, you might not want it after he figures out he cant get it. I
don't park my bike anywhere I cant see it, or in the event I go somewhere
without windows I pull it up on the curb where the main traffic walks
through (I put it against a wall so they don't have to go out of their way
to walk around it, piss them off, and end up coming back to a vandalized
bike.). I have had Security guards tell me to move em, but its usually when
I am coming back out and getting on the bike. I figure if they are pissed
about where I parked it, they are now watching it like a hawk to see who
gets on it so they can chew em out. Maybe enough to scare away a possible
thief.
