You don't see Honda cologne (or do you)... there's something about
Italians wanting to slap their logos on everything.

Those Ferrari laptops... man... what a trip... you can't tell me they
don't look cheesy. And... are they faster or better than anything
out there? I think not.

Ferrari puts their logo on items for aspirational reasons. People
who won't be able to ever have a Ferrari can buy their logo. Ducati
is trying to do the same thing.

Typically I buy a Ducati for one reason... for a motorcycle.

I buy Craftsman for one reason... tools (and a lifetime warranty)

I buy Specialized for one reason... for a bike to ride

I buy (or my girlfriends does since she has to like it too ;-)
Vera Wang cologne.

I buy Diesel for one reason... Jeans (clothes)

When companies start going out of their core offering and try new
markets they risk diluting their brand... cheapening their brand.

And in this case their even cheapening Ermenegildo Zegna.

Don't get me started on their last rebranding with DUCATI in
Italicized Helvetica.
