[Ducati] gas tank issues

Aaron,

Two things- first of all, whether or not you take it to a body shop 
depends on how inexpensively you can get a new (or good used) tank.  
Second, the issue may also have to do with part of the emission system.  
I don't remember specifically /what/ I removed, but I had TWO cave-ins 
on my 99 SS before I figured it out.  The emissions piece of which I 
speak is located just south of the right clip on on the frame (inside 
the body-work on any SS).  However, since you didn't mention which bike 
you had, it could be anywhere on your bike.

>  up through the gas cap has a little rubber thing that creates a seal between the gas cap and the tank. Well it became displaced and with the relatively cold weather we've been having here in the california central valley, the gas tank collapsed in on itself. So 2 things:
